Sheila Wright
Bluebird Valley Art
Sheila creates her art with acrylic paint and medium, poured and manipulated to bring out the magic of colour and effects. She draws her inspiration from nature, especially from the ocean and its infinity of blues.
She shares this intuitive and spontaneous art form through live and on-line lessons and workshops in Belleville, Peterborough, Trent Hills and surrounding areas.
A member of Spirit of the Hills, an organization celebrating the arts throughout Northumberland County, Sheila's works have been exhibited in their art shows at the Northumberland Hospital and the Trent Hills Library.
Her paintings are also shown at the Warkworth Artisanal Market throughout the summer months and year-round at The Village Pantry storefront in Warkworth.

Sheila drew some extra local appreciation throughout the challenges of 2020 by creating handmade face masks from designer fabrics, initially with 100% of sale proceeds donated to the local Bridge Hospice. Her simple fundraising idea in the spring of 2020 mushroomed into an ongoing supply of donated fabrics and countless masks. The target of $5,000 was reached, donated and received with gratitude by the hospice in December 2020.
Her other passions include horses, travel and small-town life. She was a language teacher by profession and is the author of Amare, a published novel recounting her adventures while teaching English in Italy. Sheila's novel is available on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback versions.
